Exceptional location, peace and quiet in a wonderfully maintained historic building. Management and staff very pleasant and extremely helpful both generally and in adversity (volcanos and ash clouds etc). Highly recommended (ignore previous reviewers comments about food; this is a fine country hotel).

Nice rural building with historical value. Plenty of flowers. Perfect tranquility. Great staff. Fresh complimentary fruits and digestives available through the whole day. Beautiful nature settings. Banana forest where you can walk or have some jogging. Big living room, kettle and dishes at your disposal in the annexe building.
The hotel is really great but you should be aware of the possible drawbacks. This is really a historical building, so the rooms are big and rustic but not soundproof or light-proof as in modern hotels (at least in the annexe building). The hotel is on the northern side of the mountains so expect overcast and colder weather especially in the afternoon. To go to swim in the sea you might need to drive about an hour to the south of the isle (a car is a need here). Yes, and roosters crow early here - literally! :-)

If you want peace and relaxation then this is a good place, usually full of older and quiet people, and not too many Brits which is a bonus! The breakfast is good if repetitive, and the staff are very helpful. It has the feel of an old colonial rural outpost.
You need a car as Garachico is 3kms away. As a lovely old place, it is not soundproof so you can often hear people in next rooms.

Lovely old hotel with excellent facilities set in beautiful grounds. Helpful staff.
Difficult to find when first arriving (NB - the driving directions from Booked.net are useless - the road system has completely changed from that shown on their map).

The hotel is set in a peaceful and absolutely perfect location adjacent to common areas, a decent restaurant, and the sea with natural pools. the breakfast is substantial, served with freshly made food and nice views.

Beautiful grounds and very serene with a good tennis court and pool. Dinner isnt available every night but its only a 5 minute drive into Garachico for restaurants. Wonderful place to chill out for a few days. We hope to return again some day
A room-fridge would have been nice.
